ABOUT ME & HYPNO HEALTH TEESSIDE

I'm Allison Merryweather.

Born 1972, a mother to 3 beautiful daughters and a grandparent to 1 granddaughter. I grew up in Dartford in Kent and moved to Teesside in 1996.

I have had what I would consider to be a very normal life with lots of ups and downs, good times, bad times, crossroads, and new chapters along the way. I feel this is what helps me to love what I do and have empathy and understanding towards my clients no matter what it is we are dealing with.

Guiding people through the tricky navigation of life and empowering them to feel they can move forward from whatever is holding them back by being more informed about their health and well- being is something I take great pride in.

I wish I had looked at different support that was available when I was suffering with anxiety and post-natal depression instead of just struggling on, and most of the time feeling like I was just surviving each day rather than living. Having learnt a lot about how the mind and body work and how connected they both are I am the happiest, calmest and stress free i`ve ever been. Its only taken me 50years to get here!

Family 3

My journey as a complementary therapist.

I started looking into training to be a hypnotherapist when I realised how versatile and effective it was. My daughter was 8 months pregnant and would not have her bloods done due to a needle phobia. We started looking into Hypnotherapy as a midwife had recommended it. Two sessions and her phobia had completely gone and has never returned. We thought it was a miracle, but I now know that with guidance from a trained hypnotherapist she had accepted the suggestions put to her and re-programmed her own subconscious mind because she wanted to be in control of her decision to have her bloods done and get injections when needed, and not let her subconscious rule the roost as it thought it was trying to protect her from going through the pain she had experienced as a six year old when she had a cannula in the back of her hand.

Many of my family members, including myself, have been affected by various mental health issues and I became very interested in how I could help people to stop feeling trapped with unwanted thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I continue to do lots of CPD to stay current with the topic and learn as much as I can to help each individual client the best I can.

I get a real buzz every time I receive a message from a client thanking me for helping them get the results they were looking for. I am very passionate about what I do and love that I found hypnotherapy.

If you are intrigued by the idea of hypnotherapy but aren`t 100% sure what it is or what it involves you have come to the right place. At Hypno Health whether you’re keen to quit smoking, ease anxiety or make any other changes, hypnotherapy could be just what you have been looking for.

Reflexology & Reiki.

Fast forward 5 years and decided my clients would benefit from a therapy aimed at the physical aspects of healing and wellbeing too. I did extensive training to become a fully qualified reflexologist, completing a VTCT level 3 diploma and am a full member of the AOR (Association of Reflexologists, an association recognised by the NHS)

I am also an attuned Reiki L2 practitioner channelling life force energy to where my reiki clients need it most. This also helps when giving reflexology as reflexology works on energy flow as well as reflexes relating to different systems of the bod
